Tulare County Supervisors Tuesday directed staff to come up with a draft ordinance which would place a
moratorium on the drilling of new ag wells on land currently not in production. “If we don’t do something to protect that water now, it’s going to hurt our county, our economy,” said Paul Boyer with Self-Help Enterprises which has been involved in getting water to residents whose wells have gone dry.
