Community Groundwater Workshop in Exeter

October 16, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Class Navigation

Please join us for a public workshop as we discuss important issues that may affect your water use at home. The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act is a California law passed in 2014 that will change the way we use and manage groundwater. Community residents and local agencies have been collaborating to decide how much groundwater will be available, how it will be shared, and how to sustain and replenish groundwater levels.

Community Groundwater Workshop Agenda:

  • What is the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA)?
  • Overview of the East Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP)
  • Groundwater usage and how SGMA Implementation will affect you
  • How you can provide comments on the East Kaweah GSA’s GSP

Spanish translation will be provided. For additional information, call (559) 562-2534, email tbarton@ppeng.com or visit our website at www.ekgsa.org.
