The second phase of the East Porterville Water Project has begun and is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. This phase will include the installation of fire hydrants, four miles of pipeline and connecting an additional 450 homes to the city of Porterville water system.
The epicenter of the state’s drinking water catastrophe is in the San Joaquin Valley, where 200,000 people have struggled to obtain clean, safe water for decades.
