February 24, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Class Navigation

To prevent our vital groundwater resources from being depleted, local Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) are starting to manage the use of groundwater resources as required under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The seven GSAs in the Kings Subbasin have worked individually on a developing a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). This plan will determine how groundwater will be managed for years to come and includes important issues that can affect the water you use at home.

The purpose of this workshop is to present the final GSP and provide an opportunity for community residents to learn how to participate in groundwater planning.

DISCUSSION TOPICS:

  • Overview of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act
  • Who is responsible for Managing Groundwater – Local Groundwater Sustainability Agency
  • Panel discussion reviewing the Kings Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plans
