Drinking Water and Groundwater Sustainability Plan Workshop in Plainview

October 8, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Class Navigation

Do you live in Plainview and get your drinking water from a private well or a small water system? Has your home ever run out of water? Have you or someone you know suffered from contaminated tap water or has land caved in near your community? Do you worry that these things will happen in your community and want to prevent them?

To prevent our vital groundwater resources from being depleted, local Groundwater Sustainability Agencies are starting to manage the use of groundwater resources, and they want to hear from YOU about your water needs.

At this workshop we will cover:

  • What new groundwater management policies are being proposed in your area,
  • How the proposed policies could impact your drinking water,
  • How to develop comments to share with the agency that manages your groundwater.

Please RSVP to reserve a seat and dinner. To RSVP and for questions contact: Adriana Renteria, adriana.renteria@communitywatercenter.org or 559-733-0219.
