Conversation with the State Water Board on the Governor’s Executive Order & the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund

August 28, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Class Navigation

On April 29, 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order directing three state agencies, the California Natural Resources Agency, the California Environmental Protection Agency and the California Department of Food and Agriculture to develop a comprehensive strategy to build a climate-resilient water system and ensure healthy waterways for the future.

Please join us for a community stakeholder meeting with State Water Board staff on August 28th at the Community Water Center office. This is a unique opportunity for community members and local elected leaders to share their recommendations and ask questions to the State Water Board staff about environmental justice issues that are impacting their communities specifically
around water resiliency and the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund. The recommendations local leaders share at this meeting will be used by the State Water Board to develop a water resilience portfolio that will include strategies for implementing the Governor’s executive order.

Your comments, questions, and recommendations as local leaders are valuable and this intimate meeting with the State Water Board is a unique opportunity to help shape and influence this important executive order. We hope to see you there! You can learn more about the water portfolio here: http://waterresilience.ca.gov/.
