Responsibilities


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage assigned single-family housing development projects from site acquisition and planning through construction and closeout.
  • Coordinate planning, entitlement, design, permitting, and construction activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Assist with site evaluation, due diligence, market research, environmental review, financing pro formas, operating budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with city and county planning departments, public works agencies, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to obtain project approvals.
  • Support subdivision developments, infill housing projects, land use and mapping initiatives, and redevelopment opportunities.
  • Review civil, architectural, landscape, and engineering plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and agency standards.
  • Assist in resolving entitlement, permitting, utility, easement, floodplain, and other development challenges.
  • Prepare scopes of work, requests for proposals (RFPs), bid packages, consultant agreements, and development contracts.
  • Coordinate the work of architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, and other consultants throughout the development process.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and development milestones while preparing reports and project documentation.
  • Present project information to internal leadership, public agencies, community groups, and governing boards as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Development, New Homes, Finance, Asset Management, and other internal teams to support successful project delivery.



Must Haves


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience managing construction, real estate development, land development, or capital improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience developing or reviewing project budgets and financial pro formas.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and develop practical solutions to challenging project issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn project management software.
