Loan Processor – Loan Portfolio Management



Salary: $20.79-37.33/hr.

We are currently seeking a Loan Processor (I, II, or Senior) to join our Loan Processing Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, mission-driven work while building or advancing your career in housing finance, loan servicing, and community development.

This role will support the administration of our housing loan portfolio, and is responsible for loan documentation, escrow and title coordination, payment processing, and compliance support. The level at which candidates are hired will depend on experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated responsibility.

Loan Processors work closely with program managers, title and escrow companies, finance staff, and internal partners to ensure timely, compliant, and accurate loan processing from origination through payoff.

 

We will hire the selected candidate at the level that best matches their skills and experience (Loan Processor I, II, Senior, or Technician).

Responsibilities


Escrow, Title & Documentation
• Prepare and record grant releases, deeds of reconveyance, lien releases, subordinations, and related legal documents
• Conduct title searches and pull property profiles
• Retrieve and file recorded documents
• Prepare demands for escrow and loan payoffs
• Maintain organized and accurate loan files (digital and physical)

 

Lending & Loan Servicing
• Prepare loan documents and disclosures
• Enter new loan data into internal systems
• Post daily loan payments and payoff transactions
• Generate payment coupons and support compliance documentation
• Maintain delinquency and payment reports

 

Reporting & Compliance
• Support compliance and partner program reporting
• Verify the accuracy of payment postings and loan balances
• Assist with audits and quality control reviews

 

Additional Senior-Level Responsibilities (as applicable)
• Prepare complex loan, escrow, and title documents
• Oversee lien release and reconveyance processes
• Verify loan funding and payment postings
• Serve as a technical resource and provide training support to junior staff
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance

In addition:

Loan Processor I (Entry Level)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Administrative, clerical, or finance-related experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally

 

Loan Processor II (Intermediate)
• Prior loan processing, escrow, title, or lending experience required
• Working knowledge of loan documentation and payment processing
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Strong accuracy and time-management skills

 

Senior Loan Processor
• Extensive experience in loan processing, escrow, and title coordination
• Advanced knowledge of loan documentation, funding, and compliance requirements
• Experience in training or supporting other staff preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and quality control skills
