We are currently recruiting a Fiscal Analyst for our Strategic Partnerships department. Self-Help Enterprises (SHE) is committed to ensuring that every individual has access to safe and livable housing. We achieve this by coordinating significant construction efforts to bring substandard and deteriorated housing up to current building codes and standards.

 

As a Fiscal Analyst, you will play a vital role in coordinating financing processes internally and with Self-Help Enterprises partners. Your primary focus will be on housing rehabilitation, homebuyer assistance, and grant administration-related efforts. You will collaborate with our partners to manage grant administration, reporting, fiscal management, and contract development.

Responsibilities


  • Gather, systematize, and distribute pertinent information to program personnel regarding regulations, grant stipulations, and codes as necessary.
  • Generate and process programmatic and administrative reports as needed to support program operations.
  • Conduct analysis and assessment of internal processes and protocols to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster and maintain effective communication with partners, funding sources, and community stakeholders to represent SHE's interests and ensure collaborative alignment.
  • Act as a liaison between Strategic Partnerships and the Finance Department to facilitate seamless coordination and communication.
  • Support training program staff to ensure proficiency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and manage grant and program budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Conduct analysis, audits, and reconciliation of files and accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail in all program administration and financial management aspects.
  • Coordinate financing processes internally and externally, particularly in housing rehabilitation, homebuyer assistance, and grant administration efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with SHE partners to oversee grant administration, reporting, fiscal management, and contract development.
  • Support Program Management staff in monitoring expenses and budget targets to maintain financial alignment with project goals.
  • Manage financing draws for various projects, proactively identifying and addressing potential budgetary concerns.
  • Conduct thorough tracking of invoices and budgets to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.



Must Haves


  • Advanced Excel skills to work with complex spreadsheets and financial data.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and concepts to support financial operations.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in interpreting federal and state regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • An appropriate vehicle for work use is required.
  • A valid California driver's license and current automotive liability insurance are required.
