Isabel Olmos, a resident of Porterville in Tulare County, is employed by Family HealthCare Network as a Community Service Coordinator. Ms. Olmos is also involved in many local organizations including the Porterville Chamber of Commerce, St. Anne’s Church, Safe from the Start and the Girl Scouts.

Ms. Olmos built her own self-help home in Porterville in 1981. Her daughter, Cynthia, recently completed a self-help home as well. In fact, Cynthia was a member of the group that built the 5,000 self-help home in the history of Self-Help Enterprises.

“My daughter and I are proud homeowners of self-help homes. My passion is to give all people the opportunity to own their own home,” said Ms. Olmos.
